Whitton Lane, Bondi Junction NSW

Whitton Lane is a 14-story mixed-use development in Bondi Junction comprising 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments, integrated communal space, commercial offerings, parking and ground-floor retail/food outlet space and green walled courtyard. Working collaboratively and in association with design architects Jackson Clements Burrows Pty Ltd and DJRD Architects, the design team were responsible for the design of a retail arcade and through site link, ground floor courtyard with green walls and two roof top gardens. The top floor roof-top garden is socially activated and provides residents with spectacular 360 degree views. Drawing upon materiality of the old boot factory building that was historically located on Spring Street, brick and stone have been used to articulate the ground plane and activate the public domain interface. Whitton Lane has been designed to make a positive contribution to the urban renewal of this vibrant and evolving neighbourhood.
