CSU Dental Faculty, Wagga Wagga NSW

The project was intended to be a built symbol for the University, expressing the technology of sustainable architecture and its strong relationship to its rural place. Drawing on the buildings location and desire to create an impression that the building is a natural part of the site the design revolves around the rural pastures of the surrounding farmland and to express the stands of gums which surround it. Gabions walls filled with local stone were used to express the significant level change that separated the two distinct building forms.
